“The New Print Industry” Book Cover and Personalized Box Packages with JETvarnish 3D Decorations by Print Panther

MELBOURNE, FL, USA – Every two years, printers from across Canada and North America gather in Toronto for the biennial Graphics Canada exposition (April 6th-8th) at the International Centre in Ontario. To celebrate the occasion, MGI and Konica Minolta have joined forces to introduce new ideas for generating profitable business solutions and captivating customer communications with digital technology under the banner theme “Changing the Face of Digital Printing”.

A New Dimensional and Variable Print Reality

To highlight original concepts of sensory engagement with omni-channel consumer and commercial client relationships, the digital JETvarnish 3DS Dimensional UV & Digital Foiling system will be demonstrated. High-impact application samples spanning the spectrum of print media will be available to view, touch and consider as examples of the digital power of personalization and customization to produce profitable new projects.

A New Color Palette with Integrated Printing & Variable Foiling

The Meteor Unlimited Colors Press Series will be shown live in action as a unique synthesis of digital press & postpress enhancement technology. It offers a virtually limitless number of new colors via the blending of variable CMYK toner, metallic and holographic foil – including a rainbow spectrum of tints, hues and shades. The system makes lucrative foil finishing enhancements and new application revenue possibilities available to mainstream commercial, in-plant and packaging printers for the first time.

A New Book and Forum on the Future of Print

MGI, Konica Minolta and Print Panther, one of Canada’s leading commercial printers and a JETvarnish 3DS customer, produced a special “Graphics Canada 2017” limited edition book for the event entitled “The New Print Industry” by Akshat Pardiwala and famous print expert Professor Frank Romano. A special 3D UV varnish and digital foil commemorative bookmark was also created for the official show directory guidebook.

Professor Romano, expert author of over 60 books on the graphic arts industry, will be the Keynote Speaker at Graphics Canada 2017. He will also be speaking at the Konica Minolta Booth (#5000) and VIP luncheon while talking with attendees about trends and opportunities in the marketplace and signing copies of his book.
