GSG Financial Adds Michael Winstead to Sales Team

Press release from the issuing company

New York, NY - GSG Financial, a leading captive finance company, announced this week the addition of Michael Winstead as Relationship Manager. Mike will be responsible for developing and expanding relationships in GSG’s Diversified Industrial vertical throughout the Southeast. He will report to the Senior Vice President of Sales Auston Bennett and work primarily out of GSG’s Birmingham, Alabama office.

“Mike Winstead is an outstanding addition to our team as he brings a deep blend of both business development and management,” said Andrew Bender, President. “I know he will work tirelessly with our internal and external partners to expand our vendor penetration while continuing to deliver personalized service.”

“Mike’s deep personal relationships and expertise as a deal maker in the diversified industrial marketplace makes him a great addition to the GSG team,” said Bennett. “His area of expertise has always been a primary vertical for GSG Financial. He speaks the language and understands the market from the vendor and end-user’s perspective. He’s a great addition to our team and we are thrilled to have him join us.”

Winstead has been a sales leader in the financial services industry for over 13 years. Prior to joining GSG, Mike spent 10 years working at CraneWorks, Inc. where he held several positions. Starting as a Rental Manager, Winstead spent six of those years responsible for all aspects of the Birmingham business unit, from rental rates, delivery schedule, maintenance requirements, and purchasing decisions to ROI analysis and P&L statements. Mike finished his time with CraneWorks as the Sales Manager, where he directed the sales efforts for the company by identifying key industry sectors, customers, and opportunities. His responsibilities included developing and executing an annual sales plan, maintaining and deepening relationships with CraneWorks largest accounts, and training sales representatives while growing their territories.

“GSG has developed a strong presence in the financial services industry through a culture of hard work and a focus on the customer,” said Winstead. “My experience in the heavy equipment business has been all about adding value to the customer by providing a customized solution. I’m excited to join the GSG team.”
