Trinidad Label Company Expands Business with Colordyne 2600 Series Mini Press

Press release from the issuing company

BROOKFIELD, WI - Trinidad Label Company (TLC) advances into short-run digital label printing with the Colordyne 2600 Series Mini Press. This installation allows Trinidad Label Company to serve new markets outside of its traditional business.

Trinidad Label Company was established in 1996 in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. For over 20 years it has served the direct to consumer label market in Trinidad and Tobago and the surrounding Caribbean territories with its flexo offerings. TLC recognized the growing demand for high quality short runs in the label industry and, through the installation of the Colordyne 2600 Series Mini Press in mid-2016, added digitally printed short-run labels to its portfolio.

Digital printing capabilities allow TLC to serve the niche food and beverage label markets requiring very short runs of high quality labels. TLC views its digital capabilities as an entirely new business offering, serving 300 new customers since the installation.

"Our digital portfolio is growing steadily and becoming a more important part of our business," said Stephen Santos, President, TLC. "Due to the high quality and quick turnaround time, we saw an opportunity to serve new markets and customers with the Colordyne machine, and expand our business."

The Colordyne 2600 Series Mini Press is a mid-range roll-to-roll digital printing platform great for run lengths up to 2,500 linear feet per job or version. It produces four-color process images at 1600 x 1600 dpi and speeds up to 60 feet per minute (18 meters per minute) - ideal for printing high resolution full color labels, tickets and tags. Label converters looking to add digital printing to their portfolio choose the Mini Press for its easy to use interface, high quality printing capabilities and quick turnaround time.

"The high quality printing stands out on the Mini Press," said Ricardo Granger, Digital Production Supervisor, TLC. "The colors are bold and vibrant, and the digital customers we serve require the high resolution capabilities. This machine allows us to grow our business with customers that have needs outside of our traditional business - like high resolution full color short runs."

"The 2600 Series Mini Press is a great opportunity for label converters to expand their business and serve short-run markets," said Taylor Buckthorpe, Director of Sales and Marketing, Colordyne Technologies. "Trinidad Label Company is a great example of this. They have become more flexible in their product offerings and can provide faster turnaround times with digital printing, allowing them to grow their business by serving new customers and markets."
