Baesman Group Purchases Second Komori Press Eight-Color Lithrone G40 Perfector with H-UV

Press release from the issuing company

Rolling Meadows, IL - Komori America Corporation announced today that Baesman Group, a digital marketing, direct mail marketing and printing company in Columbus, OH, has purchased an eight-color Lithrone G40 perfector (GL840P) with H-UV™. With retail direct mail as one of the company’s primary offerings, Baesman Group chose the GL840P with H-UV to meet customer demands for lower cost and faster turnaround. Additionally, Baesman Group is looking forward to expanding its offerings with the added capabilities of the H-UV system that make it possible to print on difficult stocks, like uncoated or matte, and to create special effects with all types of glosses and reticulating varnishes. This is something it could not accomplish on the competitive press it replaced.

“We help leading retailers improve marketing campaigns and other touchpoints to drive customers to their stores. The new press will help us more easily meet this mission,” said Rod Baesman, CEO of Baesman Group. “We’ve always been skeptical of perfecting and couldn’t do certain jobs based on layout issues. With Komori’s H-UV system we don’t have to worry about format because the sheets are dry on both sides. It’s a press that truly delivers on the concept of one-and-done.”

Because of the speed the GL840P with H-UV delivers, the company projects it will reduce its makeready time by 75 percent. The company also looks forward to being able to easily print on substrates retailers are requesting, like metallics, vinyls and static clings.

“We are pleased Baesman Group invested in the GL840P with H-UV,” said Mark Hopkins, vice-president, sales for Komori America. “It will allow the company to expand its already wide array of value-added services as well as meet its goal of increasing speed and lowering the cost of production.”
