Press release from the issuing company

Based On Adobe PDF Transit, New AlphaGraphics Internet Printing Solution Brings Efficiency and Reliability to Print Process NEW YORK--April 24, 2002-- Adobe Systems Incorporated, the leader in network publishing, and AlphaGraphics, the leading provider of print-related and digital publishing services for businesses worldwide, today announced a licensing agreement to incorporate Adobe PDF Transit technology into AG PDF Express. AlphaGraphics customers can now connect directly to their desired print shop, via the Internet, from their home or office computer. Powered by Adobe PDF Transit, AlphaGraphics' AG PDF Express gives customers a simple, secure and reliable way of sending Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files to produce quality print projects. AlphaGraphics' AG PDF Express with Adobe PDF Transit technology makes print shop services easier to access and use through desktop printers that contain everything needed to start and finish print jobs. Adobe PDF Transit enables print shops to create remote printing systems that ensure proper file submission, delivery, job ticketing and billing. This helps eliminate lengthy and costly review cycles, minimize mistakes and speed the print job through to completion. The AG PDF Express software is configured to generate Adobe PDF files that match the particular print shop's own complex output devices, so customers can reliably use AlphaGraphics print services from desktop or laptop computers to print content anytime and anywhere. "With Adobe PDF Transit, AlphaGraphics is able to extend our print shop services to anyone with an Internet connection," said Mike Witte, chief executive officer of AlphaGraphics, Inc. "Receiving jobs in Adobe PDF with the corresponding job specifications means printing will be correct the first time, saving customers and printers time and money." "AG PDF Express will be a dependable tool for expanding the eCommerce capabilities of individual print shops," said George Cacioppo, vice president, Internet Printing Group at Adobe. "AlphaGraphics is one of the first companies to offer this new set of print services based on Adobe PDF Transit, and is opening up new market opportunities for the printing industry."
