CAPE TOWN, South Africa (March 13, 2017) - ROTOCON, a provider of consulting and service to South Africa label converters in the narrow web industry today announced its appointment as the local agent in South Africa for Erhardt+Leimer (E+L) of Germany, a specialist in inspection technology. The partnership began on a swift upwards momentum with two E+L SMARTSCAN systems recently installed at Spec Systems and another four customer orders scheduled for delivery.

Proven efficiency at Spec Systems

Two E+L SMARTSCAN systems were recently installed at Spec Systems, on their new RCSI 330 ROTOCON slitter rewinder machines. Jacques van Jaarsveld, Spec Systems' Johannesburg operations manager comments: "The RSCI 330 machine is so simple to operate that it was installed on a Wednesday and fully operational by Thursday, running at a speed of about 200m/min. In addition, the E+L SMARTSCAN inspection feature requires minimal machine operator training because of its ease of use and one-touch set-up compared to around five steps for competitive machines."
