Sangeeta Sachdev appointed managing director of SPGPrints America

Press release from the issuing company

Boxmeer, Netherlands - SPGPrints announces the appointment of Sangeeta Sachdev as the managing director of its North American business, SPGPrints America, Inc. In her role, Sachdev takes responsibility for the company’s operations in the United States and Canada.

SPGPrints America, Charlotte, North Carolina, is the regional base for manufacturing, research and development, sales and marketing, and full support activities. The company is a global leader in rotary screen technology for the self-adhesive label and industrial narrow-web markets. Furthermore, SPGPrints provides complete digital inkjet printing solutions for the textile and wallcover printing markets, in addition to rotary screen technology.

Since joining SPGPrints – formerly known as Stork Prints – in 2003, Sangeeta Sachdev has held several managerial positions, at locations around the world. In the USA, her roles included managing digital textiles, labels and packaging operations. She also headed sales in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Among Sachdev’s priorities will be expanding the use of rotary screen as a complementary technology in the production of labels and folding cartons, and the roll-out of SPGPrints’ new inkjet textile printing technology based on its Archer®technology ink delivery system.

Sangeeta Sachdev comments: “With its capability for applying thick layers of coverage in a single pass, rotary screen printing is an essential technology for achieving numerous vivid, tactile and luster effects, productively. It is a powerful complementary technology for brand differentiation. SPGPrints offers solutions for every step in the rotary screen workflow for package printing applications up to one-meter (39.37in) width. With our strong support network and application expertise as well, we are uniquely placed to help printers adopt the process and competitively offer creative, added-value branding solutions.”

SPGPrints’ rotary screen printing offering includes retrofittable RSI® (Rotary Screen Integration) units that can be integrated with almost all flexo, offset and gravure label presses; non-woven nickel re-engravable RotaMesh® and – on non-SPGPrints presses – reusable RotaPlate® screens; and fast, digitized solutions for high-definition screen imaging. The rotaLEN direct laser engraving system images rotary screens with resolutions of up to 4000dpi in a single step without film, chemicals or water. The variLEX hybrid laser exposer is a single, digital imaging solution for high-definition flexo, dry-offset, screen and letterpress printing formes and comes with SPGPrints’ own software solutions.

“No doubt, this will be a job with many challenges, but it is also one of many opportunities, and working with the worldwide SPGPrints’ team, I see a strong future for the company and its customers,” Sachdev concluded.
