SpencerMetrics Connect Launches Rules-based Notifications

Press release from the issuing company

Melville, NY - SPENCERMETRICS LLC, the leading provider of real-time, multi-vendor Press Management systems, has unveiled an additional enhancement to the spencermetrics® connect® system. The rules-based Notifications module automates process alerts and enables quick and effective response to incidents threatening the continuity and productivity of the user's print environment. Spencermetrics will be demonstrating the connect system at the Dscoop (Digital Solutions Cooperative) event in Phoenix, Arizona, March 1-4, 2017.

Most organizations determine there is a problem or a situation needing resolution by manually running reports, viewing computer dashboards, walking the production floor, or even – waiting until month-end to receive a report. These largely manual tasks open the door for errors - someone must remember to look in the right place, at the right time, and request the pertinent information.

With connect's Notification module, user-created rules can be predefined and customized production thresholds can be set. The module then acts as a virtual assistant, monitoring and alerting production interruptions, and providing instantaneous e-mail alerts when the specified threshold parameters are breached. The automatic notifications empower connectusers with the receipt of critical business information and the capacity for timely assessment and remediation, enabling avoidance of costly downtime, lost productivity, and lost revenue. For example, a production manager can be automatically and instantly alerted when a connected press' productivity falls below a set percentage or when it has been inactive for a pre-determined period of time, even if it is in another geographical location – and immediately take corrective action.

The flexibility of this feature makes it a valuable tool for personnel in various roles within the organization - from upper level management to floor production crews – to respond quickly to critical operational needs.

For those unable to visit the spencermetrics booth at Dscoop Phoenix, please contact SPENCERMETRICS at[email protected] for further information and to schedule a demonstration via the Internet.
