Scodix to Showcase Digital Enhancement’s Full Spectrum at the 2017 DSCOOP Annual Conference

Press release from the issuing company

Recent study indicates that approximately 30% of all color promotional pages now receive special effects enhancement

PHOENIX, ARIZONA - Scodix, the leading provider of digital enhancement solutions for the graphic arts industry, today announced they will be exhibiting a full suite of digital applications at next week’s DSCOOP Annual Conference (March 1st thru 4th) in stand #311. Coming off a record-breaking 2016 sales year, Scodix continues to gain market share through faster throughput, unparalleled quality and registration, and now the industry’s largest toolkit of enhancement options. And yet there is still incredible growth opportunity for the company.

According to our recent study, ‘Beyond CMYK: The Use of Special Effects in Digital Printing’, about 30% of color promotional pages receive some type of special effects enhancement,” notes Jim Hamilton, Group Director, Keypoint Intelligence-InfoTrends. “There is a large market opportunity amounting to about 1.8 trillion pages annually in the U.S. and Western Europe that could potentially be converted to digital methods. In addition, the print buyers we surveyed see the value and are willing to pay significant premiums for this high-value output.” The report goes on to state that some 54% of print buyers will seek out and purchase digital enhancement effects in the next 2 years.

At DSCOOP, Scodix will be expanding overall awareness and further promoting digital enhancement adoption. To this end, the company is a Platinum Sponsor and has implemented pre-show and onsite educational programs.

Seeing is Believing

Earlier this month, Scodix randomly invited 20 different major industry service providers to submit live jobs, specialty projects and/or specific designs to the company for augmentation. In this manner, commercial printers and brand owners can see firsthand the potential impact of digital enhancement, such as Scodix Sense™ and Scodix Foil™. These completed projects will be available at the Scodix booth (#311) for their private appointments.

Scodix Effects on Display

Last year, Scodix launched two more applications, swelling the feature capabilities of the company’s most advanced system, the Scodix Ultra Pro, to a record nine different enhancement effects, more than any digital enhancement system ever. These applications now include:

  • Scodix Sense™
  • Scodix Foil
  • Scodix Foil on Foil
  • Scodix Spot
  • Scodix Metallic
  • Scodix Glitter
  • Scodix VDP / VDE
  • Scodix Braille
  • Scodix Crystals
  • Scodix Cast&Cure™
