PA Library System Loves the Xante HWC with PlateMaker 7

Press release from the issuing company

HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania – The Dauphin County Library System in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania serves eight surrounding libraries in its area, along with several departments that make up the library system, and does so using the Xante Heavyweight Champion with PlateMaker 7.

“We use it to print plates for our programming for children and youth services and our adult programming,” said Rich Hoffner, printing and mailing services manager for The Dauphin County Library System.

Rich and his team print letterheads and envelopes on the press. Handouts, banners and more are pushed out on the HWC.

“Our turnaround time is fairly quick,” Rich said. “Sometimes we get a job in and they need to have it on the delivery shelf the following morning... With the speed of the HWC, we're able to do that.”

Rich says he switches back and forth between the HWC and the PlateMaker 7, sometimes several times a day.

The Dauphin County Library System uses the iQueue software. Rich says his favorite thing about the software is the Right-on spot color matching feature.

“Our library brand standard consists of eight PMS colors and black, and I'm able to go in and adjust the PMS colors so that it will match across all platforms,” he said.” Also, the job cost tab in the iQueue software helps Rich and his team to know the cost of a job before it's executed.

Before using the PlateMaker 7, The Dauphin County Library System used the PlateMakers 4 and 5. Rich says he'd recommend the HWC to other shops!
