Stuart moves to Durst labels sales role

Press release from the issuing company

Leatherhead, Surrey, UK – Less than a year since joining Durst as a technical applications specialist, Stuart Morrison has been promoted to a new sales role for labels in the UK and Ireland.

The Account Manager position for Stuart is part of Durst UK’s continuing strategy to ramp up market growth in labels, a division it assumed business responsibility and service support for a year ago, although still receiving head office back-up support from Brixen in northern Italy. The Durst Tau and Durst 330E UV inkjet standalone systems will be central to his portfolio.

Stuart, who has worked in printing for 26 years covering digital, litho and wide format, as well as pre-press and printing finishing, said: “I’ve been doing a tour of the country and been welcomed by companies that are keen to learn of the stories of our successes. My background will really help understand our customers’ and prospects’ exacting requirements. Getting the best out of labels digitally is not the same as flexo in terms of how you prepare files.”

Peter Bray, Durst UK and Ireland Managing Director, said: “Stuart knows the labels market inside out, both from a selling and support viewpoint. This is another important appointment for Durst as we continue to build our presence in many diverse markets.

“Central to his success I’m sure will be the recently-launched Durst Tau 330E. It’s competitive pricing has also brought the investment into the range of so many more companies than ever before.”

Durst UK is a wholly owned subsidiary of Durst Phototechnik AG, the global leader in high performance inkjet technology and innovation. It has 150 customer sites across the UK and Ireland, in many different markets.
