Press release from the issuing company

Washington – The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) releases its Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2016.  In it, Director Davita Vance-Cooks reports another year of positive financial results for the agency.  GPO’s operations recorded positive net income of $46.1 million for the year, up from $17.6 million in FY 2015.  Total revenues for the year equaled $875.3 million, a 13% increase from the previous year.

“GPO’s strong financial results are a reflection of sound management strategies and employee commitment to the agency,” said GPO Director Davita Vance-Cooks.  “I am proud we are keeping our staffing levels at the lowest in a century, while investing in new technology and equipment to produce the best products for Congress, the White House and Federal agencies.  Thanks to our employees for a great year and continuing to carry out our 155-year mission of Keeping America Informed for the Federal Government.”
