PerfectProof Teams up with Pilot Marketing

Press release from the issuing company

Mechelen, Belgium, August 11, 2008 - PerfectProof announces it is teaming up with Pilot Marketing to expand its presence in North America. Pilot Marketing is a specialized distributor of color management and related products, such as Alwan's ColorOptimizer. The new partnership provides a solid backbone for PerfectProof to launch its new ProofMaster Certify and PrintFactory products in the US.

"Being such a dispersed and demanding market, the North American market has long been a challenge," says Mark Verbist, Managing Director of PerfectProof. "I strongly believe that with Dave Hunter and the Pilot Marketing team we have found a partner that will help us provide a better service to both existing and new customers."

Pilot Marketing will sell and support the full range of software and consumable products both for the proofing and the large format printing market.

PerfectProof's flagship product, ProofMaster, provides a flexible and easy-to-use proofing solution for standardized and specialty printing applications.

Recently launched at drupa 2008, ProofMaster Certify offers standards-based certified proofing at a price accessible to everyone.

Also introduced at drupa, PrintFactory is PerfectProof's new workflow solution offering significant improvements in productivity and color consistency for banner, poster and sign production.

"While in recent years the industry has made a lot of progress in color standardization, we still have a long road ahead in making color management accessible to non-experts," says David Hunter, founder of Pilot Marketing. "I believe PerfectProof has the right approach to achieve this."

"In the LFP market that work still has to start," Hunter continues, "and we see PerfectProof's PrintFactory as an opportunity to bring our color and workflow knowledge to that market."  Hunter adds that ProofMaster has the color accuracy that matches the top three proofing RIPs sold, however the set up is half the time and does not need a high priced consultant. It can use standard ICC Profiles and iterated Device Links and is by far, he says, the easiest interface on the market for day to day use.

As an immediate result of this new partnership, LaCrosse Litho has been appointed as reseller, ensuring end users' sales and support.
