New Taiwanese Customer and Distributor for Taopix

Press release from the issuing company

Newcastle upon Tyne, United KingdomTaiwanese distributor, Jin Yun Electronic Corporation, has begun its journey into the photo book market with the purchase of a Taopix Enterprise license. The photo commerce platform will allow the Taiwan business to offer professional photographers a range of photographic quality photo books that will be printed on its Canon Dreamlabo 5000 inkjet production printer.

The company, founded in 2004, also plans to launch a trade printing service for Print Service Providers (PSPs) who wish to offer photo-realistic products to their customers but who are unable to achieve the unrivalled quality in-house.

Jin Yun’s primary business is the distribution of Canon, Océ and Konica Minolta imaging equipment including the Dreamlabo 5000 and it currently employs over 60 staff. The company also boasts a young and dynamic team that is focused on delivering IT support and e-commerce/web development services to its customers.

As part of its strategic distribution plans for the region, Jin Yun has added Taopix to its existing portfolio and will take responsibility for the marketing, sales and support of the photo commerce platform.

Jin Yun Director, Roger Yu says “We’re working closely with Canon to introduce the DreamLabo and Taopix products to the Taiwanese market. I believe that the easy to use design and ordering platform and the outstanding quality of the finished product will prove to be an unbeatable combination that gives photographers a whole new experience when it comes to showcasing their work. We have definitely set new standards in this market.”

“We’ve been really impressed with what we’ve seen of Taopix and I particularly like the friendly user interface and the fact that it’s based on a complete e-commerce infrastructure. Our plan is to fully immerse ourselves in the Taopix platform so we can offer a range of products for sale whilst, at the same time, gaining valuable experience on how to set up and deploy the system.”

“This experience will be invaluable when it comes to us actually selling the software to photo finishers and PSPs as we’ll have a solid understanding of what’s involved.”

“It’s exciting to be part of this new journey and I’m very confident that both areas of the business will bring successful revenue streams to our company long into the future.”

Les Bovenlander, Business Development Manager for Taopix in Asia adds “Having Jin Yun as both a customer and a distributor is a first for us and we’re looking forward to helping them achieve their goals. We’re confident that the combination of the Canon DreamLabo quality and our powerful, flexible platform will result in many sales for both of us.”
