Finnish Printer NextPrint Modernizes eCommerce with Aleyant Pressero

Press release from the issuing company

Integration with Fujifilm XMF workflow improves profitability

Wheaton IL. Aleyant, an innovative leader in providing robust software services to the graphic communications industry at value-driven prices, today reported that Helsinki-based NextPrint Oy has chosen Aleyant Pressero™ Web-to-Print and Aleyant’s Automated Workflow Integrator™ (AWI) to modernize its customer-facing online presence, ecommerce capabilities and in-house workflow.

“We implemented Pressero about a year ago,” says Jari Ihanainen, Pre-Press and ICT Manager. “Our customers love it! It’s easy for them to use and we already have more than 15 storefronts up and running, a number that continues to grow both from existing customers and through acquisition of new customers enabled by this implementation. We also believe that customers are more likely to stay with us long-term because of the system.”

Ihanainen understood, however, that the full benefit of an efficient eCommerce presence could not be realized without tight integration into the shop’s Fujifilm XMF workflow. “The ability to use Aleyant’s Automated Workflow Integrator (AWI) to connect Pressero with XMF was a critical decision factor for us. Most of the heavy lifting had already been done through collaboration between Aleyant and Fujifilm, so the implementation process was pretty easy. We just needed to customize a few things to fit our specific workflow implementation. It supports both offset and digital workflows.”

Aleyant Pressero is an affordable and easy-to-use cloud-based online storefront solution that can quickly and easily be customized to individual client needs. This includes ‘mobile-first’ design for branded sites to ensure proper display regardless of the viewing device being used. Pressero can be enhanced with the addition of Aleyant eDocBuilder™, a web-based variable data publishing system built specifically to easily integrate into Aleyant or third-party web-to-print or MIS solutions, featuring advanced typography and image control, imposition, scripting support, PDF workflows, rapid template creation, Excel merge capabilities and more.

Aleyant’s Automated Workflow Integrator (AWI) uses a rules-based approach to automate such processes as file renaming, unzipping zipped files, or sending files and metadata directly to a RIP for processing, eliminating multiple steps in the workflow.

“NextPrint tells us that they have been able to automate about 50% of their smaller jobs with the integration of Aleyant and Fujifilm solutions,” said Greg Bane, Aleyant’s Channel Manager, “including business cards. Even for more complex work coming through the system, the elapsed time on a typical job has been dramatically reduced. This is exactly the kind of environment that Pressero and AWI were designed for.”

Ihanainen concludes, “We have been delighted with the service and support we get from Aleyant. We have a great relationship with them and expect that to continue. We are always looking for the next big thing from Aleyant, and they do not disappoint!”
