Membership, Gift & Loyalty Card Leader Helps Build Customer Relationships  with MGI Meteor 8700XL+ Substrate Diversity & PunchCard Solutions

MELBOURNE, FL, USA – MGI Digital Technology and Suncoast ID Solutions of Fort Myers, FL recently marked a major 10 year milestone of success as business partners with the installation of a new Meteor 8700XL+ Digital Press. Suncoast ID, an industry leader in the Membership, Gift & Loyalty Card marketplace, has been an MGI Meteor & PunchCard solutions customer since 2006. The recent acquisition is their 3rd MGI Meteor press and churns out thousands of different branded cards & tags every day.

Application & Revenue Growth

MGI and Suncoast ID see a bright future in the membership, gift and loyalty card business as a key engagement element in building multi-channel customer relationships. As the Suncoast client base and product portfolio has grown, their service footprint has also expanded with the wide range of plastic and synthetic substrate choices that Meteor presses offer.

Corey Savage, Suncoast ID VP of Marketing & Sales, said, “We’re helping our clients be more profitable by identifying consumer shopping patterns that help them understand customer relationships better. Customer relationships are the lifeblood of any business. Our MGI Meteor card & tag products provide valuable information about business activity and the data we provide gives insight into future revenue streams.”

Kevin Abergel, MGI Vice President of Marketing & Sales, credited the joint success of the long-term partnership to a shared commitment for producing the highest-quality card solutions by saying, “The Suncoast Team is a part of the MGI family now. We’ve grown together over the years and we rely on customers like them to help us develop the most competitive new printing press and card products of the future.”

Now, with the acquisition of their latest 8700XL+ press, Suncoast is creating new applications and gaining new revenue by branching out further into the Hotel, Hospitality, Food & Beverage Industries by producing masterful color designs for restaurant menus with waterproof, tear-proof synthetic materials.

Digital Data & Digital Card Printing

Suncoast has developed into a card market Leader by adding value to their printing services. For example, they leverage information technology and creative graphic design with their craftwork. They use their Meteor press to print on cards with magnetic coding strips to harvest customer data that help their clients learn more about their customers buying, usage and activity profiles.

Suncoast Business Products

The core product lines of Suncoast ID’s business are Membership Cards, where relationships and brand management are incorporated into the design and production process. The logo, data, graphics and format produce highly functional transactional pieces – especially for retail consumer-oriented service businesses.

Examples of standard Suncoast customer profiles are retail stores, restaurants, hotels, fitness clubs and corporate human resources departments. All service-oriented industries are prime candidates for Suncoast Meteor-produced cards & tags. A key growth area is the creation of rewards programs with bonus offers based purchase patterns.

MGI Card Solutions

MGI has long been known for a complete portfolio of digital card solutions. In addition to the Meteor 8700XL+ high-production press, the firm offers the PunchCard cutting & extraction product, the PressCard lamination system and the JETCard 3D Factory, a complete card printing, encoding & embellishment solution. MGI JETvarnish 3D & Meteor Unlimited Colors digital finishing products can also embellish and decorate cards produced on Meteors and other industry presses.

Card Customer Business Model

Suncoast’s Corey Savage explained, “We offer small “Starter Packs” of several hundred cards to help small, entrepreneurial clients launch their businesses and create an immediate impact with specialized programs for their new and VIP members. We also offer large-scale programs of many thousands for larger companies who want to roll out client relationship and customer service programs on a bigger regional or national level.”

Card & Tag Promotional Value

Savage continued, “We see our card and tag products as marketing & communication tools, not just printed materials.  For example, our key tags are mobile marketing and advertising pieces. They’re “conversation starters”. When someone sees one of our key tags it leads to engagement dialogues that create new opportunities. For example, people notice and talk about which gym, restaurant or store they go to.”

Meteor Plastic & Synthetic Card Printing

Savage concluded, “Our Meteor plastic and synthetic cards are tangible, physical, symbolic and functional. When they are used as gift cards, it enhances the experience much more than paper, which is vulnerable to water, folded creasing, rips and tears. We take pride in every single order. We use the best possible materials on our MGI equipment to create long-lasting, durable cards and tags that are strong enough to withstand years of active, daily usage.”

“We are always looking to manufacture new card & tag products with concepts and materials on a customized basis with our specialized MGI Meteor 8700XL+ card manufacturing process. We invite customers to use their creative vision to express their brands and strengthen their customer relationships with us.”
