KURABO Wins Product of the Year for Large Format Scanners at the 2016 SGIA Expo

Press release from the issuing company

Costa Mesa, CA - The 2016 Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) Expo brought together the widest array of leaders in the specialty imaging industry this year to Las Vegas. KURABO was honored with the Association's prestigious Product of the Year award for the category of Large Format Scanners. SGIA's annual Product of the Year competition showcases products that keep the specialty imaging industry moving forward.

The winning large format scanner model was the KURABO K-IS-A1FW 24"x36" flatbed scanner. This flatbed scanner is perfect for all imaging needs, including textiles, fragile historical records, fine art and other delicate originals. It features advanced CCD sensor technology ensuring picture-perfect imaging performance to capture a wide variety of documents and objects fast, accurately, and efficiently. In addition, it is equipped with a Dual White LED system for forward and backward scanning directions. It can control light intensity individually, therefore the scanner can emphasize a shadow of textured images providing a 3D effect. An ARCH D size color document can be scanned in 20 seconds or less in 300 dpi/high-speed mode. Resolution is adjustable by 1 dpi increments within the range from 50 dpi to 1600 dpi.

“In the arena of large format flatbed scanners, the Kurabo is a true standout with its outstanding image quality and reasonable price.” says Randy Geesman, president of Paradigm Imaging Group.
