Scitex Digital Printing Names Jim Gibson New VP of Sales and Service

Appointment Completes Search for Key Leadership Position for the Americas DAYTON, Ohio, June 19 -- Scitex Digital Printing announced the appointment of Jim Gibson as the new vice president of sales for the Americas region effective in April 2002. In this role, Gibson will direct the sales, service and customer relationship management functions in North and South America and Canada. Gibson worked previously for Scitex Digital Printing from 1993 to 1998 as its vice president of marketing, sales and service. Commenting on his return, Nachum "Homi" Shamir, president and chief executive officer, stated, "Jim has a proven track record in meeting strategic objectives and an in-depth knowledge of the printing industry, our products and solutions. With Jim's appointment, we now have in place one of the strongest management teams in the industry to implement our global strategic objectives." Prior to coming to Scitex Digital Printing, Gibson was president and chief executive officer of Willett America and, earlier in his career, was vice president and general manager of Gallus, Inc. and marketing manager for Didde Press Systems. Asked about his return to the company, Gibson said, "Coming back to Scitex Digital Printing at this time offered an opportunity that I couldn't turn down. In these past few years, the company has continued to produce some of the most innovative products in the printing industry, including its Business Color technology. Affordable digital color printing is the future of the printing industry and, with Scitex Digital Printing, the future is truly here now. That's an exciting message." Scitex Digital Printing introduced its Business Color technology at Print 01 in September and since then has launched the newest process color printing system with the VersaMark Vantage at On Demand in New York in April. This latest product is targeted for those printers who want process color capability at an affordable price point.
