EPS Shows Flexibility of Modular Xaar Print Bar at SGIA 16

Press release from the issuing company

Cambridge – Xaar plc, the leader in industrial inkjet technology, is pleased to announce that the innovative Xaar Print Bar System will be shown at SGIA by Xaar’s recently-acquired industrial inkjet specialist company, Engineered Printing Solutions (EPS) (Booth 1931, 14-16th September, Las Vegas).

The Xaar Print Bar System is a highly flexible and complete inkjet system that can be integrated with a wide variety of analogue and digital presses and converting equipment to add single-pass digital printing capability. The Xaar Print Bar System is highly versatile and easy-to-configure and allows users to take advantage of the benefits of digital printing easily and economically to deliver more printing possibilities to their customers. By using the Xaar 1002 family of industrial printheads with TF Technology® the Xaar Print Bar System can handle a wide range of inks and fluids, including spot colours (K or CMY), protective lacquers, high-build spot and tactile varnish, heavily pigmented high-opacity over- and under- whites and cold foil adhesives.

The Xaar Print Bar System is a high precision-engineered complete system featuring a choice of Xaar 1002 printheads (GS6, GS12 or GS40 depending on the application). An ink supply system and full print management and workflow capabilities ensure precise and total control of the print process.  The Xaar Print Bar System is available in print widths of 140 mm to 560 mm and prints at speeds of up to 75 m/min (depending on the application). It can handle a range of UV inks and fluids from Xaar’s selected approved ink partners. The Xaar Print Bar System can be fitted to new machines, or easily retrofitted in existing equipment, and is generating a great deal of interest within the industry from manufacturers of roll-to-roll presses who wish to offer their customers the ability to add digital functionality to their equipment so that they can deliver more flexibility, printing possibilities and creativity to their customers. Codimag, Edale, EPS, FFEI and Fujifilm are among the first companies to sell and support the new system.

EPS has extensive knowledge of industrial inkjet systems, Xaar printheads, UV inks, and, as a Xaar Print Bar System Reseller in the USA, the company provides expert integration, service and support to companies wishing to add the System to their existing presses. EPS will show the Xaar Print Bar System during SGIA and its team will be on hand to answer any questions.

“The Xaar Print Bar System is a very flexible and cost-effective system that can be configured to produce a variety of digital special effects. The ability to fit it to a variety of machines very easily and get into production quickly is very attractive to companies who want to create new value-added products”, says Alan Mutch, Product Manager at Xaar.
