RISO Strikes Strategic Alliance with Lexmark

Press release from the issuing company

Danvers, MA (June 19, 2002) – RISO, Inc., a leading supplier of digital printing systems, supplies and accessories, announced in May that it has signed an agreement with Lexmark under which RISO, Inc. will integrate several of the newest Lexmark multifunction printers (MFPs), software developed by both Lexmark and RISO, and RISO's own printing systems as part of a suite of integrated document management solutions. These solutions will revolutionize the way organizations think about document management and will reduce the total cost of printing for customers. The MFPs will be co-branded with the RISO and Lexmark names. These integrated document management solutions will feature a combination of multifunction printers and printer-duplicators that will enable organizations to manage their document flow seamlessly between mono and color copying, scanning, faxing, e-mail and printed output. The solutions will be a combination of hardware and software designed to distribute documents across multiple platforms, in both electronic and hard copy formats. For printed documents, the solutions will include MFPs for low-volume or full-color printing and copying, and printer-duplicators for high-volume, cost-effective printing capabilities in mono or with highlight color. They will ensure organizations the highest productivity while containing printing and copying costs. In commenting on this agreement, Daniel S. Weil, RISO, Inc. President and CEO, said “RISO, Inc. is committed to bringing the best, most innovative document management solutions to market. We believe that by combining the complementary strengths of the RISO and Lexmark companies, we can bring exceptional capabilities and value to virtually every organization. We have partnered with Lexmark because their focus on printing technology and their dedication to their customers mirrors our commitment to providing customers with unique, reliable and versatile solutions that are highly cost-effective and add significant value.”
