Cutting Edge Cars and Print Technology at FESPA Summit

Press release from the issuing company

This year’s hotly anticipated Digital Print for Corrugated Packaging Summit (October 4-5, Williams Conference Centre) is set to be the most high octane yet, showcasing not only the largest private collection of Grand Prix cars in the world but also the expertise of some of Europe’s leading organisations in the corrugated packaging sector.

Delegates attending the two-day event will get a unique opportunity to combine a fascination for fast cars with tips on fast digital print turnaround. The summit itself features an extensive programme of inspirational presentations from experts in their respective fields alongside relevant displays and, of course, multiple networking opportunities. Printers, converters, specifiers and end users will discover how digital print is accelerating and evolving to supplant analogue technology and, crucially, learn how to maximise the resulting opportunities.

Sponsor Swanline Print Ltd is also hosting two of the summit presentations. Nick Kirby, CEO of Swanline Print Group, explained: “Globally the packaging market is worth around $214billion and at the moment digital print plays only a small part in that total. There is massive potential in this burgeoning market and I’m looking forward to demonstrating how Swanline has benefited from the evolution of digital print - and how others in the corrugated packaging industry can make the most of new opportunities.”

Linsey Brookes, creative manager of Swanline Print’s award-winning design centre, is also presenting at the summit. He will outline the day-to-day process of taking a job from initial concept through to final design, and the challenges that entails. Swanline is well placed to comment on this area as the company recently relocated its studios and launched “Creative Days” as part of its vision to drive forward its sector-leading design facilities as a point of difference for clients looking for a new approach to their projects.

To complement the 5 October summit, FESPA and its sponsors are hosting a “Williams Experience” during the previous evening, where delegates can enjoy a champagne reception and a guided tour of around 40 of the iconic racing cars and the fascinating technology exhibition and trophy room. There is also the opportunity to test latent boy-racer skills with the F1 simulator. The fastest time will win a fabulous Williams F1 scale model and bespoke box display, designed and produced by Swanline Print under the direction of Linsey Brookes: a completely unique prize.
