Discount Labels Expands Digital Offering with Two New HP Indigo WS6800 Digital Presses

Press release from the issuing company

New Albany, Indiana-based Discount Labels, one of the top suppliers of custom-printed labels in North America, recently purchased two new HP Indigo WS6800 Digital Presses, the leading narrow-web printing solution for digital labels and packaging production. The new presses will enable Discount Labels to address increasing demand for digital labels from resellers in the food and beverage, health and beauty, nutraceuticals and promotional industries.

“We’re expanding our digital offering to satisfy the growing need for high-quality digital labels, especially short-run and variable data labels for high-growth consumer goods industries,” said Mike Gore, vice president of operations, Discount Labels. “Our entire digital platform gives us the advanced color management capabilities we need for discerning brand managers, along with the speed customers have come to expect from us as a leader.”

A long-time leader in digital label production, Discount Labels has a team of fully-certified HP operators and technicians on hand to oversee all aspects of color management, variable printing set-up, printing and finishing. Featuring automated color management capabilities, the new HP Indigo WS6800 Digital Presses will help the company optimize production by eliminating the need for manual color calibrations and adjustments. The addition of the two HP Indigo WS6800 Digital Presses builds on the company’s growing digital press fleet and more than 70 other custom label printing presses in operation, reinforcing Discount Labels’ commitment to giving resellers quality labels, fast turnarounds and highly competitive prices.
