Sun Print Solutions to be Beta Site for Impremia NS40

Press release from the issuing company

Sun Print Solutions Sees Komori Impremia NS40 as the Future of Print

Rolling Meadows, IL - Komori America Corporation, a premier manufacturer of printing presses, today announced that Sun Print Solutions, an industry leader in digital print, mailing and packaging, has agreed to be a beta site for Komori’s Impremia NS40, a sheetfed inkjet press equipped with Landa Nanography®. The Komori Impremia NS40 creates an entirely new digital printing category, employing water-based inks and combining the versatility of digital with the quality and speed of offset printing.

Jeff Isbell, president of Sun Print Solutions is always looking for innovative ways to improve the company’s techniques, equipment and customer service in what he refers to as the evolving world of print technology. When the Impremia NS40 was introduced, Isbell immediately recognized the competitive edge this press delivered and travelled to drupa 2016 to see it in action, believing the Impremia NS40 to be the future of print in the industry.

“Watching the Impremia NS40 in action I was excited because with this press the offset and digital worlds finally merged,” said Isbell. “Whether the job is short run, long run or requires variable data, the press no longer cares. It just delivers superior print quality for each type of job at a low cost per page. It allows us to move work from our current offset and digital equipment for a savings in both time and money that we can pass on to our customers.”

Isbell notes that in addition to high quality color, the versatility as well as speed of the Impremia NS40 is unmatched in a digital printing system. To support the company’s innovative applications, it can print on any off-the-shelf substrate, from coated and uncoated paper stocks to recycled carton; from newsprint to plastic packaging films all without requiring any kind of pre-treatment or special coating and no post-drying. Additionally, Sun Print Solutions’ concerns for the environment are met as the use of water-based inks makes the Impremia NS40 energy efficient and eco-friendly.

“Having Sun Print Solutions agree to be a beta site for the Impremia NS40 is very exciting as I know it will be a perfect fit for the creative work this company produces,” said Jacki Hudmon senior vice-president of new business development of Komori America. “We look forward to working with them as they test the infinite possibilities of the Impremia NS40.”
