Asanti integrates color and quality management in an easy to use, highly automated wide-format software solution being demonstrated at SGIA 2016 in two booths (1551 and 1561) at the Las Vegas the Las Vegas Convention Center from September 14–16, 2016.

Agfa Graphics will also demonstrate PrintSphere, a new cloud-based file exchange platform allowing clients to upload files that are delivered directly to Asanti or to a file server. Proofs can then be sent directly to the customer.

Demos of the Latest in Software Automation

“Automation software takes the guesswork out of printing and frees up staff to handle other critical tasks that require a more personal touch,” said Mark Gallucci, Manager, Technology Marketing, Commercial Software, Agfa Graphics North America. “Increased productivity leads to enhanced profitability once software-assisted automation is introduced into a printing production environment, particularly in the wide-format area where tedious tasks can easily be handled by our advanced software.”

Asanti, an automated workflow for sign and display applications, uses the latest version of Adobe’s print engine resulting in the best possible transparency flattening, rendering accuracy and performance. Asanti helps sign-makers and display producers manage time and decrease operational costs across all areas of prepress and production. Asanti integrates all prepress processes, streamlining production and ensuring consistency and quality.

Powering all of Agfa Graphics' Anapurna and Jeti engines, Asanti 3.0’s key productivity upgrades include new image editing with integrated tiling, enhanced crop and bleed controls; enhanced Hot Ticket automation and integrated proofing. Easy-to-use Asanti provides hands-free layout automation, enhanced operator controls for nesting and repeats, and integration with cutting systems. For top-quality results, Asanti also features advanced color tools for custom spot libraries, spectral color readings, transparent media and optical brightening agents, automated preflight and correction capabilities, and the latest Adobe PDF Print Engine, version 4, for fast and accurate rendering performance.

Agfa Graphics' web-to-print solution, StoreFront, will also be demonstrated during the show. The latest release, StoreFront 3.5, includes support for kitting, discounts and promo codes. It also features new design options (subcategories, custom footers, interactive HTML5 carousel banners, enhanced product search and suggestions) for increasing customer engagement, production enhancements (more flexible administrator and operator roles, support for Adobe CC 2015) for easier administration and business logic updates (new payment methods, pricing and tax options) for optimal cost coverage and profitability.

Agfa Graphics’ team of wide-format specialists will be available to discuss these and other technologies and services at SGIA 2016 in booth #1551 and #1561. SGIA 2016 is being held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from September 14–16, 2016.
