Presto’s CanvasTac Used to Map out Center City Philadelphia

Press release from the issuing company

Presto’s CanvasTac wallcovering was used on 2 floors of a newly acquired building in Center City Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Alterra Property Group and Stockton Real Estate Advisors joined forces to give the outdated 1760 Market Street building a new, modern and fresh appearance. The building is located on 18th and Market streets, walking distance from Philadelphia’s iconic Comcast building and Rittenhouse Square, where popular restaurants and retail stores are located.

Interior curator for the building, Eileen Tognini was tasked with updating the lobby and tenant shared 9th floor, furniture and accessories to help appeal to potential tenants. Eileen was familiar with CanvasTac since she chose that same wallcovering for her previous project, The Shirt Corner where CanvasTac was installed on 7 walls. “The entire team at Presto is dedicated to providing a superior quality product from start to finish. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction is unmatched,” says Eileen.  CanvasTac is a 17 mil repositionable adhesive-backed canvas that is made for wallcoverings, wall murals and point of sale signage. It is a Category VI Type III Class A commercial wallcovering that is PVC, phthalate and lead free.

Eileen collaborated with Philadelphia based branding agency, At Media to design two wallcoverings for the 9th and lobby floors. The 9th floor is where the common area is located for the building. The common area includes 2 conference rooms, a kitchen and meeting areas for the building. The 9th floor is also the headquarters for Stockton Real Estate Advisors. “Shared spaces are so important for office environments and it's a trend we are seeing more frequently. For 1760 Market Street we highlighted the building's unique value proposition by designing custom maps for the lobby and shared conference room spaces. The map highlights the 18th Street corridor that connects the business district to Rittenhouse Park, the city's best restaurants and shopping.” says Antoinette Marie Johnson, CEO of At Media. The 9th floor wallcovering measured 12’ x 64’ and was printed on the HP Latex 360 wide format printer and liquid laminated to protect against scuffing in the high traffic areas.  The same was done for the lobby wall mural that measured 8’ x 36’. Both wallcoverings were installed using the overlap method.

Overall, everyone involved was extremely happy with both wallcoverings, Stockton Real Estate Advisors’ CEO James Paterno says, “The CanvasTac wallcoverings is a wonderful background that has transformed the common space. The 9th floor will be the heart of many events and parties and the wallcovering helps capture the essence of the building, its incredible location and numerous surrounding amenities.”

1760 Market Street has completed renovations but more CanvasTac wallcoverings might be installed on other floors since the huge success of the first installation. Antoinette says, “The customer and the tenants love the artwork and we have even received more jobs from the tenants in the building!”
