WR Type expands with unique hybrid printing technology

Press release from the issuing company

Morton Grove, IL - WR Type serving the Chicago-land area for over 40 years has continually adapted to changes in technology to meet customer needs and recently acquired an EFI H1625 LED wide format print system from Konica Minolta.

The H1625 is a revolutionary new hybrid technology that enables printing directly onto rigid materials up to 2” thick, like metals, acrylics, ceramics, gator board, and wood, with the ability to easily convert to roll printing for large graphic banners, signs, and vehicle graphics.

The new printing system has a 64” print width capacity by virtually any length, and boasts single-pass multi-layer printing with 2 white ink channels in addition to cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. It also offers 8 levels of variable droplet gray scale for outstanding image quality, and prints up to 1200 DPI (dots per inch). The H1625 is environmentally sound by incorporating LED lamps that dries the inks instantly, reducing power consumption while expanding lamp life up to 10 times longer than traditional lamps.

Bob and Maureen Rubino are the owners of WR Type and have seen many industry changes over the years. Part of their success has been to boldly add new technologies to meet the expanding needs of their clients. With a keen commitment to customer service, the Rubino’s take pride in helping their customers’ businesses grow and adhere to strict standards of high quality, fast delivery, and complete satisfaction. “We are excited to add the Hybrid1625 into our business because it will give us the ability to provide our customers with an array of exciting new capabilities. It opens up creativity and flexibility for us and our customers.”
