Thursday, August 18, 2016

Press release from the issuing company

The Association of Suppliers to the Paper Industry (ASPI) is pleased to announce that WestRock will host the 2016 Customer Alignment Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia from November 16-18, 2016. As in past Customer Alignment meetings, WestRock’s top executives will spend a full day sharing how suppliers can support WestRock’s corporate strategic directions.

“ASPI is extremely pleased that WestRock has agreed to host the Fall 2016 Meeting,” commented Keith Kemp, ASPI President and the Vice President, Paperchine Sales – Americas for AstenJohnson.  “WestRock is a very important customer to our members, and this meeting will enable the supplier community to better support their directions.”

“We are excited that ASPI has brought this opportunity to us,” said Tom Stigers, Executive Vice President, Corrugated Paper Solutions at WestRock.  “Working with our suppliers as partners supports our goal to be the premier partner and unrivaled provider of paper and packaging solutions in consumer and corrugated markets. We look forward to sharing perspectives and providing guidance to the supplier community in support of this corporate objective.”

In 2007, the ASPI Board of Directors established the ASPI Customer Alignment Initiative to assist paper manufacturers in aligning their suppliers’ capabilities with their evolving tactical and strategic financial requirements.  Past hosts of the Customer Alignment Initiative include:  Georgia Pacific, International Paper, Boise Inc., Domtar, Verso Paper Corp., Temple-Inland, NewPage, and MeadWestvaco.
