PAF Hosts 29th Annual Florida Print Awards

PAF members celebrated excellence in print at the "Print Rocks"- themed evening on July 29
 
Orlando, FL - The Printing Association of Florida (PAF) proudly celebrated 33 of Florida's top printing and graphic communications firms at its 29th annual Florida Print Awards ceremony. PAF members collectively submitted 336 entries for a chance to capture a desired Florida Print Awards trophy. Six schools, with a total of 145 entries, also participated.
 
Winners were honored at the annual Florida Print Awards banquet and reception held July 29 at the Marriott World Center Resort in Orlando. The competition is open exclusively to PAF members. Pictures are available for download here: http://snap.zenfolio.com/p543176149.
 
The Florida Print Awards recognize the individuals, companies, and organizations producing progressive, superior print media work across all categories. All winning entries were displayed in the Hall of Winners showcase at the awards ceremony. Winners are also published in the Florida Print Awards Winners Booklet and in PAF's Graphics Update magazine.

National Premier Print Awards
Four PAF member companies received prestigious "Benny" Awards at the national level: Associated Printing Productions, Inc., for the Morilee Bridal Catalog; Designers' Press, for The Spirit of BBQ; Progressive Communications, Inc. for the Emergency Preparedness Guide; and The Color Express, Inc., for its piece Let It Begin Here - LIVE FIU.
 
The "Benny" is a bronze statuette of Benjamin Franklin awarded to the most outstanding entry in each category. At the national level, a total of 43 Florida projects, submitted by 18 companies, were recognized in Printing Industries of America's Premier Print Awards competition.
 
Golden Flamingo Award
Special recognition is given to the company with the most "Best of Category" awards. This year, Progressive Communications, Inc. received this distinction, and was awarded the Golden Flamingo.
