Domino to introduce to the U.S. market ‘Textures by DOMINO’

Press release from the issuing company

Gurnee, IL… At Label Expo 2016 in booth 6523, Domino Digital Printing will be introducing to the U.S. market “Textures by Domino” on the Domino N610i digital UV inkjet label press, and debuting the K600i double-white bar digital UV inkjet printer.

‘Textures by Domino’ is a new unique ink jet capability of the Domino N610i digital UV inkjet label press which was launched at Label Expo Europe 2015, and will make its first U.S. showing at Label Expo 2016. ‘Textures by Domino’ allows label printers to produce visually striking, tactile, three-dimensional digitally printed textured labels that enhance shelf presence and make brand owners’ products stand out from the crowd. Ideal for a variety of sectors – including wine, beer, and cosmetics and beauty, this technique represents a cost-effective way to create labels with high visual and “feel appeal” that also help to maximize customer engagement.

‘Textures by Domino’ adds yet another capability to digital printing that provides added value to both label printers and brand owners. It is no longer just about producing short and medium length production runs efficiently, it is also about enabling innovative value-add design capability. An endless selection of textured effects can be created using the Domino ink jet printing technology. Here is the link to a short 2-minute video showing examples of ‘Textures by Domino’.

Domino will have two N610i digital UV inkjet label presses in their booth, one shown with ABG inline finishing, and the other N610i printing roll-to-roll. Printing 600 x 600 dpi native print resolution at a minimum of 164 fpm, the N610i offers the productivity of flexo, with the versatility of digital.

In addition, Domino will be debuting its K600i double-white bar UV inkjet printer. The K600i will be integrated on a Delta ModTech finishing system and will be shown printing specialty marketing applications. The opacity of the Domino white, coupled with the ability to print variable data for a host of applications, enables brand owners to take their ‘unique and individualized’ product marketing to the next level.

Why are these digital printing solutions important to the marketplace? The global luxury packaging market is predicted to grow by 4.4% per annum over the next three years, which means that brand owners are constantly searching for innovative packaging designs that will ensure their products stand out in a highly competitive market. Domino digital printing technology provides the capability to help them achieve this.

See Domino in OEM booths as well. The Domino N610i integration module will be shown in OEM booth Converting Equipment International - CEI (booth 817). Printed labels from the Domino N610i can also be seen at Delta ModTech (booth 3523) and Domino K600i Cold Foil in Gonderflex (booth 3629).
