Local Entrepreneur Signs Franchise Agreement to Open Second NYC-Area PostNet Location

Press release from the issuing company

Former New York City Police Officer to Open New B2B Franchise in the Bronx

NEW YORK CITY – PostNet, the leading business-to-business franchise known for providing customized, business-enhancing print, marketing and shipping solutions, is expanding its presence in the Bronx with the opening of a new location later this year. The new center, located at 1451 West Avenue, marks the second location for local owner Calvin Thomas.

Thomas opened his first PostNet franchise at 557 Grand Concourse in 2008 after retiring from a 20-year career with the New York City Police Department serving the 48th precinct in the Bronx.  His first PostNet center was also featured on Season 4 of the popular CBS reality series Undercover Boss.

“Demand from the local business community for PostNet’s personalized services and solutions continues to build, and I look forward to serving even more customers with the opening of my second PostNet,” said Thomas. “I hope to grow PostNet to become a household name in the Bronx with the addition of even more centers in the years ahead.”

PostNet’s menu of services includes graphic design, full-service digital printing, direct mail, signage, document binding and finishing, and ancillary business services, like private mailbox rental and more. Unlike others in the marketplace, PostNet has strategic partnerships with all of the major logistics companies – UPS, FedEx, U.S. Postal Service and DHL – offering a multi-carrier selection coupled with in-center professional packaging services to meet the specific shipping needs of its customers.

The development in the New York City area is part of the nearly 700-unit brand’s overall growth strategy to open 24 new franchise locations throughout the U.S. in 2016. Currently, there are six PostNet franchises open in New York, which PostNet intends to grow by 10 to 12 locations across the state over the next five years.  The brand is actively targeting markets throughout the East Coast, which are prime locations available in major cities and bustling small communities alike.

“Calvin’s expansion demonstrates the strong demand for our customized, business-enhancing services, and the New York City metropolitan area is primed for future growth,” said Steve Greenbaum, co-founder and CEO of PostNet.
