Muller Martini will bring "Finishing 4.0" to Graph Expo

Press release from the issuing company

Live demonstrations to show how variable magazines and books containing sheet-fed offset, web offset and digital printing components can be produced using a fully automated machine line-up.

In keeping with its highly successful theme at the recent drupa international trade fair, Muller Martini will showcase "Finishing 4.0" at Graph Expo, September 25-28, in Orlando, Florida. "Finishing 4.0" encompasses game-changing technology in digital networking and end-to-end touchless workflow, from printing to finished product, which represent the cornerstones of the new age of print production. Muller Martini is facilitating this transformation with innovative finishing solutions for digital, offset, and hybrid printed products, including smart automation and connectivity; maximum variability and flexibility of run sizes, trim sizes and content; and an end-to-end touchless workflow.

At Booth #1849, Muller Martini will offer live equipment demonstrations showing how digitally- and offset-printed signatures can be processed concurrently using a smart, highly automated workflow. A variety of print products will be produced utilizing:

  • Vareo. Accommodating both offset and digital printing, this innovative perfect binder enables every processing step to be tailored to the given product, resulting in high productivity and optimal quality.

  • Presto II Digital. Capable of processing both sheet-fed and web printed products in offset and digital printing, this highly flexible saddle stitching system lets printers and binderies efficiently increase their capabilities and product offerings.

  • Connex data and process management system. Muller's new connectivity backbone for both digital and conventional print production.

Most importantly, booth visitors will learn how these highly automated print finishing systems can help their customers produce both long- and ultra-short runs cost-effectively, while providing opportunities to launch new revenue streams. But in order to enable hybrid products, print finishing systems must be digital ready. These innovations not only underscore Muller Martini's position as a market leader, but also provide booth visitors an exciting glimpse of the future of finishing.
