Willow Graphics on the Mark with DYSS X7 Digital Cutter

Press release from the issuing company

London, England - Willow Graphics, a London SE1-based creative print solutions company part of The CityDocs Group, invested in a DYSS X7 Digital Cutter to complement their Jetrix KX7 UV Flatbed Printer and bring precision cutting in-house.

The DYSS X7 was chosen due to its speed, accuracy and flexibility over rival cutters. Leigh Percival, Creative Design Manager at Willow Graphics, says “The DYSS X7 gives us the flexibility to rethink and develop our POS prototyping on the fly. We change the design in-house, we cut the revised product in-house immediately, saving cost and time for ourselves and ultimately our clients – keeping Willow (Graphics) sharp as a knife!

The addition of the DYSS X7 has enabled Willow Graphics to expand their capabilities into production-level packaging and point of sale (POS), avoiding the need to sub-contract work elsewhere while printing was undertaken in-house. Their production team are all fully trained to manage and maintain the DYSS X7, further improving their level of service.

One project that was completed using their DYSS X7 was for the World Architecture Festival (WAF) in London. They used their DYSS X7 to precisely cut 16mm Honeycomb boards into giant WAF logo’s that slot together to create an imposing 8 level high auditorium.

The robust DYSS X7 was imported from South Korea, where it was initially built for testing, dismantled and then rebuilt at the Willow Headquarters in SE1. It includes versatile tooling to suit all common packaging substrates: folding carton boxboard, corrugated up to triple wall, rigid display board, PETG, PP, polyethylene foam, structural honeycomb boards, Kappa foam boards, textiles, paper, along with many other materials.
