Multi Marcas Editoriais Ltda. (Editora Construir) promotes education and literacy through innovative books

Brazilian book publisher Multi Marcas Editoriais Ltda. (Editora Construir) has a noble vision: Improving literacy and educating Brazil's young population are central to its plans.

"We do not just sell books. Our mission is to contribute to the improvement of education," says Mr. Pedro Tavares, the company's owner.

“Our commitment is to provide quality books for the integral formation of the students. Our books contain essential information for the students and make a difference to their future.''

For Multi Marcas Editoriais (Editora Construir) to achieves its noble goals, it needs to be able to adapt to the changes in the book printing market in Brazil. Apart from premium print quality, Mr. Pedro Tavares says, the company requires high efficiency in production and lower production cost. Expanding its product range is also a priority, he adds.

And that is where the new four-color ROLAND 700 HiPrint hybrid with coating module comes in.

“We used to employ offline coating which took much more time to finish the job,'' says Mr. Pedro Tavares. "Now, with this new machine, we will be able to print the covers of our books in one step as everything is done inline because the coating unit is already integrated into the system.''

With the help of Inline coating technology, Multi Marcas Editoriais (Editora Construir) will be able to produce books of better quality in double quick time. Hence, both production costs and lead time will be reduced significantly.

The four-color ROLAND 700 HiPrint hybrid with coating module is also configured with two fixed UV dryers after the second and fourth printing units and three in the delivery. This means it can print with conventional ink and dispersion coating or UV inks and UV coating.
