Xerox CEO Salutes Marymount College Class of 2002

Press release from the issuing company

TARRYTOWN, N.Y., June 6, 2002 -- In a commencement address to Marymount College's Class of 2002 last month, Anne Mulcahy, Xerox chairman & CEO, challenged graduates to "embrace change willingly," adding that the "only thing I can predict about your lives with any certainty is that change will be a constant." Marymount College too is changing -- consolidating with Fordham University effective July 1. Mulcahy commended the college for taking this "bold step" and noted that the transformation of Marymount is similar to the change she is driving at Xerox: "We're changing to meet the needs of a dynamic world while fiercely fighting to hold on to our values and traditions." A 1974 graduate of Marymount, Mulcahy also received an honorary doctorate of humane letters during today's graduation ceremony.
