VUTEk Expands PressVu UV Capabilities

Press release from the issuing company

Meredith, NH – VUTEk, Inc. announces the availability of a new model of its PressVu UV digital flatbed inkjet printer. The new PressVu UV 180/360 EC, an eight-color printer, has been optimized for fastest production of quick turnaround, low-run output and targets screen print applications. It joins the current model, PressVu UV 180/600 EC, an eight-color printer designed to provide high resolution for photo quality applications with minimum finishing requirements. “The addition of the PressVu UV 180/360 EC to our growing printer family enhances our ability to offer our customers the absolute best printer option to meet their particular needs,” says Richard Aschman, CEO of VUTEk, Inc. Both products utilize UV-curable inks to print on the widest range of substrates while minimizing variations in output appearance. They are engineered for production environments and capable of printing on both rigid and flexible substrates – either sheet or continuous feed, up to 1.8 meters (72 inches) wide. Setup and changeover between rigid and flexible can be accomplished in a matter of minutes transforming short run jobs from time consuming, costly propositions into viable, efficient and lucrative business opportunities. In addition, each printer can easily be converted to fast, four-color mode for jobs that require faster turnaround. The PressVu UV 180/360 EC prints at 360 dpi with superior, 8-color production speeds up to 40 square meters per hour (430 square feet per hour), while the PressVu UV 180/600 EC delivers resolutions up to 600 dpi and 8-color, photo quality speeds of 28 square meters per hour (300 square feet per hour).
