Canon Solutions America Supports the Fifth Annual Graphic Arts Industry Event

Press release from the issuing company

All proceeds go to the great cause of the Ronald McDonald House New York

MELVILLE, N.Y. – Canon Solutions America, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., today announced that it participated in the Fifth Annual Graphic Arts Industry Event, held Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Ronald McDonald House New York. Through this event, Canon Solutions America is proud to be a part of a greater cause that includes sponsoring a 10-day stay at the Ronald McDonald House New York for a child undergoing cancer treatment and their family. The Ronald McDonald House New York provides temporary housing and additional resources to the families of children receiving vital medical care.

The Fifth Annual Graphic Arts Reception honored Diane Romano, president and Chief Executive Officer of HudsonYards, for her outstanding leadership in the graphic arts industry. This year, the reception benefitted Ronald McDonald House New York because of Diane Romano’s generous and continuous support of that charity. As participants, Canon Solutions America showcased its commitment to supporting both industry and philanthropic causes.

Established in 1978, Ronald McDonald House New York opened in pursuit of enhancing the well-being of children. A child’s illness in and of itself is a heavy burden to bear, not to mention the associated costs and sacrifices that families have to endure at the very same time. What is possible, however, is the ability to lessen the burden placed on children and their families, and that is exactly what the Ronald McDonald House does. Since their founding, the House has accommodated more than 35,000 families, regardless of their ability to pay. Ronald McDonald House New York has given families an opportunity to catch their breaths in the midst of the difficult time they are experiencing, and offers a place to call home. What started as a small-scale effort to help the community has turned into a well-known charity that can be found in more than 60 countries and regions throughout the world.

“We are thrilled to have Canon Solutions America participate in our Fifth Annual Graphic Arts Industry Reception,” said Kathy Presto, Vice President, Strategic Sourcing at Williams Lea Tag and Co-Chair of the event. “It’s great to see both local businesses and large corporations participate and support such a great cause like Ronald McDonald House New York.”

“It’s incredibly humbling to have the opportunity to support a child in need,” said Francis A. McMahon, senior vice president, Marketing, Production Print Solutions, Canon Solutions America. “At Canon Solutions America, one of our main objectives is to improve businesses. But beyond our standard business goals is a commitment to supporting philanthropic causes that help make a difference. This is something we’re very proud of.”
