Unique Creative Design Facility Launched by Swanline

Press release from the issuing company

Packaging and POS supplier Swanline Print has announced a  unique concept in structural design services for its exclusively 100 per cent trade customers, whilst relocating its Design Centre to a dedicated location within its Stone, Staffordshire offices, importantly still just one step from the factory floor.

“Creative Days” have been launched by the company as part of its vision to drive forward its sector-leading design facilities as a point of difference for clients looking for a new approach to their projects. The idea encompasses a design suite in which customers can work one-on-one with Swanline’s award-winning designers, complemented by breakout rooms that enable customers to continue with their own activities whilst the team work up the latest prototypes. This “design-while-you-wait” approach allows the customer to give feedback to initial concepts, which can then be honed until the customer is satisfied.

The new facility provides significant additional capacity to develop more elaborate projects. The customer can leave with a fully functional prototype, costed and production ready. It is also possible to supply digitally printed mock-ups or 3D visuals – which can be sent out electronically to stakeholders at other locations.

Swanline Creative Manager Linsey Brookes explained: “The relocation of the Design Centre and launch of Creative Days is all part of Swanline’s vision to highlight our design capabilities as a significant USP for the business, setting us apart from our competitors. The new facility enables us to work very closely with our customers, who say they feel wholly immersed in the process as they see their projects come to life literally before their eyes. Lead times are shorter than ever, and the swift turnaround this process enables can make the difference between a customer winning a project or not.”

Design Manager Cliff Wiggett added: “Swanline’s offering is unique to the sector and we are keen to maximise all our resources in house, to the benefit of new and existing customers alike. We are always mindful of the need to take costs out where possible, and work closely with our production team to ensure best utilisation of the advanced machinery we operate.  We are able to suggest the best process for each individual project and have access to a wide range of materials – from corrugated, to display boards and even polyprop and vinyls via our Paper and Board Division.

“This development takes our design capability to a new level, providing an inspirational environment to cultivate innovative concepts both in response to direct briefs and speculatively - in order to present fresh ideas to our customers.”

As a specialist 100% trade-only services provider to the corrugated packaging and point-of-sale markets, Swanline Print offers an unrivalled portfolio of print, conversion and finishing services available under one roof.

The company invests in specialist machinery so its customers don’t have to.  And it has a team of experts – including the award-winning constructional design team – on hand to advise every step of the way.  The design team enhances the quality and turnaround time of any POS or packaging project, from functional counter displays and shelf ready packaging to elaborate novelty packs and floor standing display units.
