Digital Transformation at Four Films Printing Group

Press release from the issuing company

Managing director and CEO live in the Sheetfed Service Innovation Lounge

On 1 June George Moujaes, founder of Four Films Printing Group in Kuwait, and his son David, CEO of the company, visited the KBA stand and the Sheetfed Lounge. Here, the company's workflow solution is being presented as a reference to other KBA customers. Both men have turned Four Films Printing Group into one of Kuwait's leading printing companies. Over 300 staff produce packaging and commercials for companies and government institutions in Kuwait, the Gulf States and Europe. The company operates five Rapida presses. On a production space measuring some 5,000m² the Group processes 4,000T of paper and board per year and can store up to 1,500 palettes.

A KBA Complete Production Workflow was implemented to keep up with the company's fast growth curve. It includes the cutting-edge MIS solution Optimus Dash with W2P and mobile applications as well as the integration of JDF-capable machines in pre-press, print and post-press. KBA LogoTronic Professional is used as PPS software. The result speaks for itself: the time for creating a calculation has been reduced from 20 to just 5 minutes and the average production time is only 2 days, instead of 4. The savings in makeready times alone for the sheetfed offset presses stand at 168 hours per year and machine. This results in a total of €250,000. Customers also now have the chance to place orders online and follow the order process live.
