Westmont, Illinois -- May 30, 2002 -- Richard M. Connor, the former marketing executive who grew GMA into the leading provider of newspaper mailroom equipment in the U.S., has joined MAN Roland Inc. as the company’s new Director of Corporate Accounts and Regional Sales Manager. In his new position, Connor will be reporting to Vince Lipinski, the Senior VP of Web Operations, and will serve as MAN Roland’s executive liaison with top newspaper decision makers throughout North America, helping them solve their production challenges with advanced systems solutions. He will also oversee all newspaper press sales operations in the company’s Eastern Region. For the past 13 years, Connor was Executive Vice President of Marketing for GMA - Graphic Management Associates, Inc. - a subsidiary of Muller Martini. He was responsible for both strategic and tactical marketing and sales there, directing the activities of all GMA regional sales managers and support staff. From 1967 to 1988, he served in various executive posts for the ATF-Davidson Company in Whitinsville, Massachusetts - then a maker and distributor of small offset presses and supplies. Connor’s roles included Vice President of Marketing as well as Vice President and General Manager of that corporation.
