Press release from the issuing company

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Curtis Packaging (curtispackaging.com) recently joined the Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC), the North American association for independent and integrated folding carton converters and their suppliers.

Founded in 1845 and headquartered in Sandy Hook, CT, Curtis Packaging manufactures high quality folding cartons for the most discerning global brands. Known for its printing innovation, creative use of coatings, and unique structural designs and special effects, Curtis has built a reputation as a leader in the luxury packaging space. A true environmental steward, Curtis is the first packaging company in North America to be 100% carbon neutral, use 100% renewable electricity, and be Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) and Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) certified.

“On behalf of PPC’s Board of Directors and membership, I welcome Curtis Packaging to the association,” said Ben Markens, president of PPC. “They are joining the premiere association for carton converters, and I hope they take advantage of all the exclusive programs and networking opportunities that come with membership.”

PPC members receive access to the only folding carton exclusive data reporting program in the industry, webinars, white papers, and legislative updates. They get opportunities to attend informative biannual conferences, discounted registration to key training sessions like Folding Carton Boot Camp, and the ability to participate in publicity-generating programs such as TICCIT and the North American Paperboard Packaging Competition. PPC also facilities several communities of interest, including the Rigid Box Committee, the Canadian Converters Committee, the Women’s Leadership Committee, and the New Generation Leaders group.

“We are excited to get involved with PPC and its membership,” said Don Droppo, Jr., president of Curtis Packaging. “With all of the networking and educational opportunities, I am sure we will extract great value from membership in the organization.”
