Foster Releases New Compact Roll Lifter

Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania - Foster-a major supplier of cutting devices and other postpress equipment for more than 65 years--has announced the immediate availability of a new compact roll lifter for handling wide or heavy media rolls used with wide format printers. The new design incorporates ergonomic features enabling printer operators to quickly and effortlessly lift media as heavy as 200 lbs (90 kg) and as wide as 72 inches (180 cm). Designated the On-a-Roll Lifter^®Compact, the new device is designed specifically for sign makers and other businesses handling heavy media rolls.

Announcing the new lifter, Foster CEO Ted Borowsky said: "Media rolls are getting bigger and heavier as mills and printers look to minimize shipping costs and inventory. These larger roll can be dangerous for operators and warehouse personnel to handle. Our new Foster On-a-Roll Lifter Compact enables a single wide-format press operator to safely manipulate media rolls around tight corners and through narrow passages in shops with limited floor space. It is available from Foster dealers around the world."
