Raymond Lawton Named Sheetfed Executive of the Year by GATF & NAPL

PARAMUS, N.J., May 29, 2002 – Raymond W. Lawton, chairman of Lawton Printing Inc., and vice president of File-Ez Folder Inc., both of Spokane, Wash., has been named Sheetfed Executive of the Year by the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF) and the National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL).  Lawton is the eighth recipient of the award, which was created by GATF and NAPL to honor a sheetfed industry leader who has demonstrated exceptional service, initiative, and commitment to his or her community, company, and the sheetfed printing industry.  He was nominated by Andrew Schaer, senior vice president of Marketing of Printcafe Software, Pittsburgh, who described the significant contributions Lawton has made in the areas of technology, graphic arts education, and customer and community service.  The award will be presented at a special luncheon sponsored by Heidelberg USA on Tuesday, June 4, as part of the 10th Annual GATF/NAPL Sheetfed Pressroom Conference, June 2-4, 2002, at the Marriott O’Hare Hotel, Chicago. I. Gregg Van Wert, NAPL president, will speak on the significance of the award to printers and the printing industry, and George Ryan, GATF president, will make the presentation. The recipient of the 2001 Sheetfed Executive of the Year award, Donald M. Duncanson, president of Dynacolor Graphics Inc., will serve as moderator.
