Critiqom announces new CEO

Glasgow - Charles Sweeney has been appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer of Critiqom, which follows the recent departure of former Managing Director Neil McCallum.

Sweeney has a proven track record in senior management positions within technology companies. Throughout his career, he has worked with a number of successful high-growth SMEs, across a variety of sectors. Most recently he held the position of CEO at Bloxx Ltd where he spearheaded Bloxx’s development and growth before their acquisition by Akamai Technologies last year. His career includes ten years with outsourcer Telecom Service Centres.  

Gerry Crawley, Vice Chairman of Critiqom comments, “Charles brings a wealth of experience and a strong background in outsourcing and technology.  We look forward to Charles building on the strong foundations already developed by Neil McCallum and the team.”

Sweeney took up his new role from 9th May 2016 and oversees the enhancement of Critiqom’s core transactional print and mail service offering and will drive investment in people and process to help further develop the business.

Sweeney comments: “This is an exciting period for the business - Critiqom has achieved remarkable growth in the last 5 years, backed by Archangel funding.  We will be further developing our offering in line with customer expectations and demands, not least with the addition of technology led multi-channel communication solutions. I look forward to playing a part in the next stage of the company’s success.”
