S. showing of the newly developed asset management system for storing, finding and restoring Trueflow jobs. Screen will demonstrate the archiving solution operating with the new software version 2.0 of Trueflow to showcase the enhanced data-handling and management capabilities. Greater functionality Designed for greater functionality, Trueflow Archive Manager provides production efficiencies and timesavings by allowing the user to take a job offline from a Trueflow system and store it on a separate storage medium. The job can be restored later when needed, without interrupting any work in progress. The utility can store information about backup sets, making the task of locating and restoring a specific job easier. The user may perform the archiving manually or schedule it to run unattended during off-peak hours, maximizing Trueflow usage. Trueflow Archive Manager can be coupled with the Trueflow system without actually modifying Trueflow itself. Easy onsite installation ensures that Trueflow delivers continued value. Additional modules may be added to extend the functionalities in a multiple Trueflow system. Trueflow Archive Manager has modest system requirements, allowing it to run on a relatively low-cost PC. Powerful database engine Trueflow Archive Manager is based on Screen’s Asset Management Technology, a powerful database engine capable of connecting to any SQL server. The Archive Manager software collects all job information and the job folder in a single archive. It can sort jobs by color, name or job ID to make selection easier. Any number of jobs may be selected as a single group for archiving on a removable storage system, such as a DVD jukebox, tape changer or disk array. The scheduling function allows the user to create unlimited schedules to automatically archive Trueflow jobs. During the archiving process, information about archives, jobs and job elements are stored in a database. Searching the database allows users to locate an archive set, job or single file. The user can then restore the jobs or retrieve a selected file within the archive. "Trueflow Archive Manager affords a tremendous workflow advantage," noted Kakiuchi.
