Very Successful Dscoop 2016 Launch of "ColorPower in the Digital Pressroom" Announced by CCN Software Group

Press release from the issuing company

Dallas, TX— CCN’s sales leadership came away from Dscoop San Antonio 2016 highly motivated by the enthusiasm the HP users showed for its “ColorPower in the Digital Pressroom” software.  Of the HP users that saw the demonstration of this new technology, 80-90% expressed that it was a product their shop will seriously consider.  These were users of digital printing presses that varied from Indigo to wide format, grand format and high-speed roll-fed production.

It was generally alleged that the marketplace’s expectations and the number of variables in digital printing may have overwhelmed the industry’s traditional color management technologies and practices.  Extreme statements like “too many times we can’t predict that the color on press will meet approval on the first or even the second try” was heard from one grand format specialist printer.  But generally, a common theme arrived at by these HP users was— “If ColorPower in the Digital Pressroom works in my shop like this demonstration… we need this tool”.

The marketplace has made ColorPower the only commercially viable solution for color editing while the job is on-press.  It has to do with digital printing’s promise… fast turnaround of jobs.  A.) customers expect that they can bring the job to the printer one or two days before they need it, B.) there is no time for prepress to do their usual offset prep— the job has to go from the designers directly to the pressroom and C.) if the color on press does not meet approval there is no time to take the job off press, send it out for correction and reschedule the press run.

ColorPower is a commercially viable solution for color editing while the job is on press because it is accurate, flexible and very fast.  It’s not at all like using the common 2D 4-channel curves usually found on most DFE.  It’s much more advanced science than that.

The CCN group invited the HP users at Dscoop to go to www.ccncolor.com and sign up for a no-commitment 60 Day Free Trial and see for themselves.  A digital press operator with ColorPower can apply color edits to one or more non-approved colors, while leaving the other colors unchanged, in just 5 to 10 minutes.
