The Color Spot Adds MCT VersaTech Laser/Router Cutter in Winston-Salem, NC

Press release from the issuing company

Looks to develop Digital Finishing Service Bureau

Milwaukee, WI - MCT Digital, a leading print finishing company, is pleased to announce the The Color Spot headquartered in Marietta, GA has replaced a prior generation entry level cutting solution in its Winston-Salem NC production facility with an MCT VersaTech 3.2 M X 3.2 M laser/router/cutter to offer digital finishing services across the region, in addition to its print capabilities.

When Kenny Laughbach, production supervisor at The Color Spot, gave us his first impression a week after install and training he said, “We love the MCT cutter" Shop Manager Frank Branson added, "Your system is much, much easier to use.... Actually easier on a whole new level".  With such reactions from a new customer, you know you have provided the right solution for such an active PSP.

"MCT provided The Color Spot a solution to finish a multitude of substrates quickly, efficiently and accurately" stated Robb Sarno, MCT’s Southeast Regional Sales Manager.  "We love the ease of use with our new VersaTech cutter, coupled with the fact that our productivity has increased by about 2.5X by upgrading from a 5X10 cutter to a 10 X 10 cutter. Not only do we have improved routing capability over our entry level cutter that the VersaTech replaced, but the adding the laser option for handling acrylic up to 3/8” our delivery times become shorter." explained Andy Biggars, TCS north branch manager.  "We have significantly improved the types and methods of finishing we can produce to meet the expanding expectations of our clients as they become more creative. The ability to router cut Dibond, knife cut styrene and less than 10 minutes later be laser cutting acrylic, all on the same system, has really made us much more productive and better able to meet more of our client’s needs" said Mike Feldberg, TCS’ CEO.
