Xplor Names GMC Software Technology President’s Award Winner

Press release from the issuing company

GMC recognized for support and dedication to Xplor and commitment to growth of employees

GMC Software (GMC), a leader in customer communications management, announced today that it received this year’s President’s Award from Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association. Xplor recognized GMC for its continued support and dedication to the mission of Xplor in addition to investing in its own employees’ growth with the “GMC EDP Challenge,” a project carried out throughout 2015 in conjunction with Xplor. The collaborative project resulted in 21 GMC employees earning the Xplor designation of EDP (Electronic Document Professional). EDP certification is a professional designation granted after meeting experience and knowledge requirements in the electronic document industry and submitting a comprehensive portfolio for peer review.

In addition to the 21 employees achieving EDP certification, 103 GMC employees received Xplor’s EDA (Electronic Document Associate) designation in 2015. Xplor offers an EDA designation to encourage those in the document industry to continue along the path of industry knowledge.

GMC’s vice president of product, Scott Draeger, accepted the award on behalf of GMC at Xplor International’s Xploration 16: The Customer Communications Conference, held April 5-7 in Orlando. Additionally, GMC received an Honorable Mention in the Technology of the Year category at the conference for its GMC Inspire Customer Journey Mapping. This new technology seeks to break down the silos between communication projects that are managed by different teams by elevating their preview, context, performance and value to the entire organization, enabling easy coordination of projects by document professionals who were previously unaware of the existence of other projects that have the potential to affect the overall customer experience.

“We were more than honored to accept this prestigious award from Xplor, as well as an Honorable Mention for Customer Journey Mapping,” said Draeger. “We continue to find great value in being an active part of this industry-focused organization. A perfect example is surpassing our company goals for the Xplor EDP Challenge with 126 employees becoming industry experts by obtaining the prestigious Xplor EDP and EDA designations in 2015.”

“GMC continues to typify the spirit of Xplor with its active support of the association,” said Skip Henk, EDP, president and CEO of Xplor International. “We were pleased to present the 2015 Xplor President’s Award to the GMC team not only for its involvement in the Electronic Document Professional certification program, but also to recognize the company’s ongoing commitment to investing in its team and offering customers the best in industry knowledge and performance.”
