FESPA’s Worldwide Regional Events Reinforce Profit for Purpose Philosophy

Press release from the issuing company

This year, FESPA, in association with its regional associations, is hosting local events in Africa, Mexico and Europe as part of its Profit for Purpose reinvestment programme and educational commitment to the global print community.

Profit for Purpose is the central philosophy that drives FESPA, which pledges to support global printers through a multitude of projects including regional events, which provide professionals with opportunities to gain knowledge and network with peers and industry leaders. Building on the success of last year’s regional congresses in Southern Europe, the Nordics, Mexico and Africa, FESPA has once again committed to a programme of regional events for 2016.

Returning for its second edition is the Southern European Congress, this year taking place in Milan, Italy from 19 – 20 April, and organised by Apigraf (Portugal), FESPA España Asociación, FESPA France Association, and FESPA Italia Associazione. Over the two days, delegates will hear from leading experts on topics tailored to the needs of local speciality printers such as: The Wow Effect of Print as a Business Booster; Inside and Outside the Home; and Industrial and 3D Printing.

The Print Mexico Congress will also return for the second time on 19 May 2016 in Mexico City, supported by FESPA’s Mexican association, Canagraf. The one-day event will provide local printers with seminar and technical sessions on print trends and opportunities across digital, screen and textile, as well as providing them with the business tools to grow and enhance their businesses.

Following the positive interest received in the 2015 Brasil Forums, FESPA has also extended this roadshow event to Africa. The FESPA Africa Forums will take place in Lagos, Nigeria and Nairobi, Kenya, which are both growing economies, and will provide print and signage solution providers with the opportunity to connect with peers and experts, while learning how they can diversify and grow their businesses with some key sessions from FESPA’s South African association, Printing SA.

Sean Holt, FESPA General Secretary comments: “These events are all delivered in accordance with our Profit for Purpose programme, demonstrating our commitment to reinvesting in the global print community through a range of centrally funded and locally supported initiatives. The Southern European and Mexico Print Congresses in 2015 both received extremely positive feedback from delegates and we’re delighted to be able to bring them back for another year.

“Our Brasil Forums were also very well received, reaching a wider audience across the country which is why we have chosen to replicate this format in Africa. These forums will provide printers and sign-makers in East and West Coast Africa access to a FESPA event. Delivering events with local associations means that the content delivered are tailored to the needs of the market, and participation will introduce them to peers and experts with whom they can share knowledge and experiences.”
