DARMSTADT, Germany – The world's leading provider of slitter rewinders, GOEBEL IMS, has become an official sponsor for the German soccer team, SV Darmstadt 98. After a thirty three year absence from the league, the first Bundesliga team is back. 

To celebrate the new sponsorship, GOEBEL IMS has been giving away tickets to employees to cheer on their team in person. GOEBEL IMS’ management states: “We have been committed to the city of Darmstadt and the region as an employer for over 165 years. As part of our extended commitment, our aim is to contribute to the successful performance of SV Darmstadt 98 in the Bundesliga and provide the opportunity for our staff to cheer for the team!” 

The team proved its prowess on its first match day in the national league with a deserved result of 2:2 against Hannover 96 and followed up with a 1:1 result against FC Schalke 04 on its second match day – another cause for jubilation for the GOEBEL IMS staff.
