Masterwork USA Introduces New Large-Format MK1450ERS Die Cutting and Stripping Machine

Press release from the issuing company

Strong, robust fully-automatic industrial machine provides a large sheet size of 1450 x 1080mm

Masterwork USA, a leading manufacturer of folding carton and packaging equipment, is introducing its new MK1450ERS automatic platen die-cutting machine with full stripping and blanking capability. This large-format machine boasts a large maximum sheet size of 1450mm x 1080mm, thus providing its users with more usable space, dramatically increasing its production capability, reducing material wastage, and maximizing material utilization. The MK1450ERS can be equipped with optional automatic logistics system to achieve automatic production of sheet feeding to sheet delivery without a feeder operator after production begins. Its maximum speed is 6500 sph. It is solidly-built for maximum stability and optimized speed for high-quality production.

“We’re listening to customer and market requests, as well as trends in the industry to allow more products on the sheet for faster production. When our engineers were designing the new MK1450ERS, they increased the sheet size to an overall size of 1450mm x 1080mm since the market is moving from the traditional B1 format of 1060mm x 760mm,” says Carol Jiang, vice president of Masterwork USA. “Our larger sheet size on the MK1450ERS provides our customers with a competitive advantage increasing their efficiency and productivity. It brings value to any print shop operation.”

The MK1450ERS is one of the finest automatic industrial die cutting machines on the market built to withstand maximum productivity with a strong and robust frame and provide fast production throughput. Its independent servo drive technology and its automatic tracking system provide a stable production environment. The machine is equipped with an automatic continuous feeding system. The speed regulation enhances smooth operation of the feeder whether it is feeding thick board or thin paper. The new improved feeder can transport various thicknesses and types of material in a rapid and stable manner.

Additional designs have been added to the MK1450ERS for increased production. The intermittent mechanism with higher torque and the optimized drive curve are employed to create stable high-speed movement of main platen, which decreases the stretch of gripper chains and increases the longevity of gripper bar chains. The side frames of the main platen are designed with an optimized method in order to endure the load of large-tonnage pressure, which is 600 tons. Optimized movable cams for stripping and blanking ensures the ease of removing waste.

“Customers will find that the new MK1450ERS provides them with a fast, high-quality machine with the ability to process a larger sheet size format to boost their production and efficiency,” says Jiang. “It will transform their business into a more successful, profitable post-press finishing manufacturer attracting more customers who seek value-added die-cut products.”
